Yeah! It has been a long time since I have stayed loyal to an eating plan for 7 days in a row. I feel so good about that. Woke up this morning with a few sore muscles, that Saturday workout must have pushed me further than I thought. Great job Sarah. I also went to the gym today. I had a few break throughs as I ran on the treadmill. I think I am successful because I can see myself at the finish line this time. I want it really bad. I have basically given up so many food groups that I love and yet I don't feel deprived. I could have any of it if I wanted to but I don't want it, what I want is success. I found myself on the treadmill thinking, "I can do this, why did I spend so many years of my life wearing this fat suit?" "I am doing this, I will be successful." After I pushed myself on the treadmill I did 10 minutes on the spin bike. The spin bike was harder, I nearly quit after 2 minutes, but I kept telling myself if you really want this you can do at least 10 minutes, so that is what I did. I looked at the weight machines and thought, that will happen tomorrow at Team Fitness. One week team check in tomorrow night. The week went fast. I am looking forward to the check in and working out with my team.

My Personal Fitness Challenge Day 6
Today was a good day, I got up and weighed myself, as per my daily routine. Everyday since I started the 30 cleanse I have seen a drop in my weight. Greeting the little metal box each morning is something I am now looking forward to instead of dreading. On day six I am now down 7.3 lbs., and 12.5 from my heaviest weight back in June. Yesterday I actually started feeling different, somewhat more healthy. Still overweight but now going in the right direction.
I was not sure a week ago that I could follow a no flour, sugar, red meat, dairy or alcohol diet but now heading to bed at the end of another successful day. I am occasionally tempted but not enough to actually eat it or drink it. I am in a daze of just thinking about the success. I have to say its a lot of pressure knowing on Monday I have to get weighed in and I would be devastated to not lost weight.
Best workout yet at Team Fitness today with Sarah and my new weight loss Besties Katherine and Tristen. I can feel my tired muscles tonight Sarah!! It was actually hard with all the running around I had to do to get all the food eaten. In the past I would just grab something on the go but now if I didn't bring something with me I don't have anything until I get home. Thank God I have apples and almonds hidden in bags and vehicles. Water fills the gap too.
Hubby and I went out and bought a new hot tub cover. Its been out of commission for months but the combination of cooler weather and sore muscles propelled the need for a new cover right to the top of the list. Fingers crossed that hubby gets it all filled and balanced now so we can use it. After today's workout and the promise of it getting tougher I'm pretty sure I am going to need it...

My Personal Fitness Challenge Day 5
I was chatting with my husband the night before this challenge started. I said I don't know how to feel about this whole process. Am I nervous or am I excited? I have really set myself up this time with all the elements to be successful. I am so thrilled to be one of the 3 selected to participate so I would not want to show anything but appreciation for that. How can I show that? By being successful. I also would not want to be the one in our group to not loose weight, I am way to competitive for that.
I also find myself dreaming of exposing the skinny chick who is stuck inside this fat suit. She is full of life and adventure and just cant wait to get out and explore the world. My bucket list is increasing as my thoughts go to how much easier life will be 100 lbs lighter. I am very excited to report that I have now been successful for 5 days in a row. It has been a while since I have been this motivated.
I was in a class all day today. I was greeted with muffins, scones and other pastries. There was lots of coffee there too, which I very much enjoy with 2 cream and 1 sugar. For this reason I have quit coffee and switched to tea which I very much enjoy black. Guess what no tea in sight. For the first time in my life I had a big cup of Joe black. After not having any coffee for nearly a week I felt wired after the cup was done. I could have run a marathon but I was stuck in class. I had my green smoothie, followed by my almond milk blue berry protein shake while my classmates all around me stuffed their faces with the pastries. I didn't waiver. I want this too bad, this is my time to win. Stay tuned, lots more to follow.....

My personal fitness challange Day 4
Day 4 of waking up on a diet and going to bed a successful skinny chick in the making. :-)
I am super happy about that! Not much to write about today. I did not face many challenges. No muffin's or Donuts at work today, no one offered to take me out for lunch and when I got home from my most favorite part of the day, my Treo team workout at team fitness my husband and dad were out. My kids were home but they are good at fending for themselves. My 15 year old cooked himself some perogies which I love, but funny I was not tempted. I grilled my protein 4 oz. of fish, and ate my big salad in peace. Once piece of good news, my 15 year old son looked at my dinner and said can you cook that for me?? Wow, he wants to go on my menu. Woot!
Back to my workout at Team Fitness. The trainer was great, Sara I think. The addition of the cardio exercises to the circuit training was great. It did add an element of difficulty, especially running up and down the stairs. I might be crazy for posting this but so far the workout has not been that difficult. I guess I was expecting more like what you see on the Biggest Loser. You know where they can barely keep up, they are dying on the treadmill or vomiting in a bucket, sweat pouring off them. I have a huge weight loss goal, I need to be kicked in the ass. I guess that will come. I might be eating my words in a week to two. I think I am down 3.5 lbs. in 4 days. Not too shabby. Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted.

Welcome to my successful day 3 on the Team Fitness Challenge. I am excited to report that I have been able to stick to this meal plan. Funny though today was my high day, meaning more food than the low and none days on the diet, yet it was my most challenging. I found myself clock watching and waiting until my snack time, then lunch and so on. But the good news is after an afternoon walk with my girlfriend its almost bedtime and I am on track. Woot!
One interesting fact, after going through the none, low and high days I re-read the material explaining the nutrition plan and picked up a few tips I didn't catch the first time. I went out to buy some more leafy green stuff and avocados. I am exploring all the different flavors of tea available too. I can drink tea black but coffee just needs cream and sugar so that is out for now. Looking forward to my workout tomorrow at Team Fitness with my new weight loss team. So much fun to have a group to meet up with who all have a common goal. Excited to see what the little metal box has to share on Monday night too :-)

First Blog from Tracy
Well today is day 2 of the 30 day cleansing period. I am actually quite surprised that I am following it and I am not feeling hungry. I thought I would be starved but I am actually having to make a point to get all the food on the list eaten. I am very excited to be a part of this group, great people and great enthusiasm. I have spent so many years trying diets and programs. Everyday I would wake up on a diet and everyday I would go to bed a failure. Well for the second day in a row I have woken up on a diet and made it to bed at night a huge success! I can't wait to see the success on the scale. Yes that little box on the floor in my bathroom rules my life! But that now only seems like a second to my new friends at Team Fitness! With all the checks and balances I find myself very motivated to keep honest on this program. I never want to go into a weigh in with a gain, I feel like I would be letting them down and that is part of what is going to make me successful. :-)
