Welcome to my Personal Fitness Challenge Day 26

Welcome to My Personal Fitness Challenge Day 26

Well we are nearing the end of the 30 day cleanse.  Being part of this challenge has helped me to stay faithful to this plan.  I can't remember the last time I stuck to a plan without cheating for this long.  Hmmm,  yes I do. 2008 Nov/Dec  I did it then too.  Just because someone told me I probably couldn't make it through Christmas without cheating.  I lost 15 lbs that December.

That is one of the biggest frustrations I have this time around.  It has been almost 4 weeks and I am down only 12 lbs.  I would have thought at least 15 maybe 20 lbs.  Not every month but the first month why not. The thing that everyone has to understand is the amount of food I am not eating is a mere fraction of what I used to eat.  I have never been a big sweet eater, I much prefer the savory side of life. I went from Pasta, red meat, red wine, butter, bread, cheese, yogurt, 2 cream and 1 sugar in my coffee.  I am now drinking the coffee black, eating green smoothies for breakfast, 4 oz of chicken or turkey (carefully weighed) and salad for lunch and dinner plus apples and almonds for snacks.  I drink far less diet coke and a lot more water. I am moving more eating less, that is suppose to be the recipe for success. The weight should be falling off of me and it's not.  My Team Fitness buddies are all losing more weight than me even the ones closer to my height and weight.  I have been told I have a surprising amount of muscle for my height and weight. Shouldn't that be in my favor?  Shouldn't I be able to burn more calories as compared to others who do not have as much muscle?  What more can I do?  My Dad keeps telling me to eat less.  I am sticking to the plan, I am only guilty of not eating it all every day.  What do I eat less of?  Less white protein?  Cut back to 2 oz? Less spinach in my green leafy salad?  I choose to have faith and stick to the plan.

This week I have been very good at bringing all the food I need for the day with me so I don't skip.  I plan to increase my water in take next week, I plan to seek out more creative things to eat that are still within the walls of the plan, I choose to move more.  I choose to win.
